“Red Door” is an original watercolor with an image size of 14"w x 10"h., and an overall size of 19.5"w x 16"h with matt. This is a "pure" watercolor painting using no white or black; all colors are mixed from primaries and earth tone pigments. Price includes shipping and handling to anywhere in the USA. Item will be shipped UPS ground, so allow 4 to 6 days.

Narrative: This was a Bed & Breakfast where my wife and I stayed on a farm in Wales. The stone work is pretty much as it is shown in the painting, with nothing of a regular size. Some stones were very large as shown. The inside was also exposed stone, including the bathroom and the stairs to it.

Artist Bio: Steven Purdon is an Architect and graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s college of Design Architecture Art & Planning. He grew up in a family of artists, with a father who was a professional photographer, a brother who was a graphic illustrator, and a grandmother and uncle who where both painters. As an architect he has been observing and helping to create the man-made environment. Now he is turning his eye for detail and interest in the world around him to freeze images for generations of enjoyment. Each person sees something different in a painting, something that brings back a memory, brings rest to their soul, or stirs their thoughts. It is this artist’s passion to do work that moves across this vast personal landscape of our differences so that each individual might find something special for themselves in his painting – something that will bring them enjoyment for years to come.
